Riley Cote, former NHL player and leader in mindfulness teachings, is now offering this powerful tool to youth hockey players with his Mind Champ Clinics.  The clinic will focus on movement utilizing yoga to increase agility.  The benefits of yoga include increased flexibility, improved strength, enhanced balance and coordination, injury prevention, joint health and much more.  The Mind Champ Clinic begins with a lesson of yoga utilizing simple techniques that can be added to your young athlete’s at home routine.  After the lesson, they will hit the ice for a two-hour 3v3 Round Robin style tournament.  During this time, Riley will remind players of breathing techniques that can be used on ice to help maintain focus and stay calm during stressful situations.  This hands on approach works best with youth and keeps the lesson fun and engaging.  By training their minds to stay in the present moment, athletes can block out distractions and make split-second decisions with clarity.  Be the first to experience Riley Cote’s cutting edge approach to take your young athlete to their next level of performance.   Limited spaces available for U10 skaters (2013/2014) birth years.
